LETTER IN THE INDEPENDENT ON SUNDAY RE: OMEGA-3
Previous posts (9 June, "Analysis of Hemp Oil", 13 June, "Fishy News on Omega-3"14 June, "Fishing for a Brain") talked about hemp's Omega-3 oil content, specifically gamma-linolenic acid.
The 13 June post was created in response to an article in the Independent on Sunday on 11 June which mentioned Omega-3, but only as a component of fish. Today, they did in fact publish a letter sent in, but severely limiting its content, deleting any mention of Omega-6 and Omega-9 oils and any mention of the perils of eating polluted fish. Also deleted were any comments on the unsuitability of fish oil for vegetarians, but this was addressed by another correspondent, Rosemary Hobern, writing in from Denmark.
